The WT-Pipe submarine cable protector consists of two identical half shells forming a self-locking articulated pipe, available in a variety of different structure. The WT cable protection system can be installed boltless for quick installation or with bolts for further strength, and is made from ductile iron, which retains the corrosion resistance of traditional cast iron but with greater strength. The WT cable protection system is a simple yet cost-effective design suitable for areas where traditional burial or trenching methods are uneconomical and/or impossible due to bottom conditions. The articulated pipe can be installed directly on the submarine product and floated, or it can be installed by divers after the submarine product has been laid.
